Dilema Suspension

Featured Replies

I have finally saved up enough penny's to buy some new suspension for my aging 55Plate VRS can you please let me know which is best as they are about the same price and only want a small drop in height. I have ruled out all the others but I just can't decide which of these two to buy.

both are very good kits.  if the price is similar though, i'd go bilstein.

That's cheap, cheapest I have been able to find is larkspeed in leeds for £590 Delivered. Have you purchased from them already and are the reputable?

I haven't myself, as I can't afford to. I know others on here have though.

you probably already know but the 30-35mm springs will only lower the vrs 15mm

Did you buy them in the end? Really tempted to get them as I need a new shock anyway and want something to make the ride smoother and less harsh.

I did, I had them Done at Shark whilst I had the engine remapped and im so glad I went for the B12. Its firmer but not harsh. You can feel little bumps a bit more but handling round corners now is lots better much less body roll. If your looking for smooth though you might just want the Standard VRS shocks because these are not quite as smooth because they are stiffer but they are perfect for me.

Do you perchance have any pictures of your vehicle you you would be willing to share on the forum, so we may admire your new stance on the aformentioned bilstein suspension kit?

There might be an echo, but just in case:

I deliberately went out of my way to keep it looking standard so that's what it looks like, hardly seams much point taking pics. If its dropped any, then its immeasurable with the naked eye without a frame of reference. 'Stance' was not even in my thoughts when looking at suspension. Im sure there are cheaper ways of rubbing tyres on the arch liners if that's your thing than a Set of Bilsteins.

I'm considering lower mines as well, I've narrowed my preference to Eibach proline springs with Bilstein B4 shocks. I think on the B4s damping is like stock.
