My 2005 Mk2 Octavia 1.6 FSI recently showed the engine warning light. The car runs fine. The local independant garage I use diagnosed the culprit to be the egr valve code P0401.

 

The valve was replaced and all fine for two days, then the same fault came up. The garage says it will fix it but having just spent £350 on the egr job I dont want to spend much more!

 

Anyone any ideas what this might be? I havent taken the car back yet.
