Xvid to DVD anyone ?

Featured Replies

OK I have 9 Episodes of "Threshold" which currently on Sky one is only upto Episode 3...

These are in NTSC format 23.96 FPS, I want to transfer this to DVD and I have Nero 7 which gives you the ability to create DVD from various video formats.

I have run a test writing the DVD files to my hard drive but thing is the Lip sync towards the end of the DVD is out by about 2 seconds.

Spoke to McBunny about this a he suggested changing the format of the DVD to write in NTSC beacuse their frame rate is higher than ours so I did this but the Lip sync is still out but only by about 1 second now.

Any ideas ?

I can put an episode on my FTP server for someone to try and get it into DVD format. Each episode is about 360mb and is in NTSC format and is High Definition. Any takers ?

Ivan, I could do a test using the encoders built into MCE2005. PM me a link to the file and I'll give it a go tomorrow.

That is simple and deos work. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the product I ised to use. It was free and I used it with the canopus procoder 2.0 ($499 to buy but free if you know where :D ) That was fantastic.

Monkeychild I will give it a go, Thanks for the info.

Mannyo MCE2005 ?? If I don't get the software to do this I will take you up on this offer. Thanks for the offer.

i was gonna say my mate recommends winavi as he has found it to be very quick and also doesnt suffer from lip synching issues. Havent had a chance to try it but have seen the results he has got from it

Nero vision express always seemed to be a bit of a lottery to whether you would get the sound in time with the video.

I think Mannyo is referring to windows media centre edition 2005 chavyboy
