I've tried a couple of different LED sidelights in my FL but I've noticed that the passenger side LED stays very dimly lit while ever the car is 'awake'. Where 'awake' is the car running, unlocked or for a minute or so after locking while the CECM hasn't shut down completely. It's only remotely obvious in the dark as it's barely enough power to light the LED bulb.

 

Has anyone else had noticed this?

 

I expect it'll only be visible on non-VRS FL cars with LED sidelights installed. Everything else is normal, no error codes or symptoms to suggest a damaged CECM.

 

I've put the stock halogens back in and as expected there is no glow, probably as it's not enough current for the filament to glow suggesting this may be 'normal' behaviour.

It's down to the 'blown bulb' sensing system checking that everything is okay.

I've only noticed the bulb checking as a triple flash rather than a partially lit bulb, still you're probably right.

I was getting bulb warnings until I removed the checks with odis-e although it hasn't changed the dimmed bulb issue.

In my spare cecm it looks like the two sidelights are driven by similar chips but have different part numbers. I'd be surprised if the monitoring was vastly different given only one side has this problem.
