Engineering menu on Columbus

Featured Replies

Hi

Is getting in to this on the mk3 Octavia not possible with VCDS?  I am referring to the MIB-1 unit by the way.

Interested to hear from other Octy3 owners. :)

Hi Jason, sure you need VCP to access engineering going from discussions Andy had re dab drop out etc

Yep, Green Engineering Menu can be enabled with VCP but not VCDS. You need to change the below adaptation channel whilst in Engineering Mode.

Hi

Is there any point in asking Ross Tech to add this as an option?

Thanks

No VCDS act like standard odis diagnostic. But you can enable green menu by odis engineering

Forgive my ignorance but what does the engineering menu give you?

Nothing particularly useful for the majority of people

And for the minority?

They already know :)

Seriously, nothing in there useful unless you want to diagnostic logging or force a firmware downgrade.

mirrorlink for example (if you have supported phone). I cannot find another way how to enable it (by odis-e or similiar)

You have managed to enable it and it works?
