SE Business Spec Anomalies

Featured Replies

As the SE business includes folding mirrors, do these mirrors also come with puddle lights ?

Thanks

My SE business estate has led puddle lights

My business hatch also has puddle lights. Footwell lighting too. Not sure if these are listed as being standard. I didn't spec them.

+1 on both of those here

Thanks for replies re: mats. Any ideas on cost of OEM mats? Cheapest place to buy?

I was in touch with someone on eBay a while back and they said that they should be getting SIII mats in soon. I'll check back with them.

Has anyone with an SE business got full "light assist", I.e. The auto main beam/dip switching? I was expecting it on mine as the manual details it as part of "light assist" but it's not fitted.

Light assit.. did you upgrade to the xenons ?

Nope and I know the main brochure details this as a requirement. The SE business fleet brochure though says it has light assist but obviously not it would seem.

Light assistant provides these functions:

- Leaving home: Turns on the lights after unlocking the vehicle for easier finding of the convenient path to the car.

- Coming home: If the light intensity outside is lower than a set level, this function provides pleasant illuminating of the path home.

- Tunnel light: While driving, this function activates headlamps if the intensity of the outside lights abruptly decreases.

- Day light: Turns the daytime running lights on after turning the ignition on.

Also integrated into the Light assistant system is the Rain lights function, which turns the lights on when the wipers are activated.

Your thinking of Intelligent Light Assistant... which alerts the beam etc..- which do require the xenons

This assistant automatically controls use of the high beams. From a speed of 60 km/h on and in sufficient darkness, it automatically turns on the high beam. When closing in on a vehicle ahead (or in the case of an oncoming vehicle), the system automatically dims the headlights in order not to dazzle other road users. octavia-assistants-light-assistant.jpg

My manual states light assist is the auto dip/main as well. Basically contradicts itself but it also says to close the phone box storage compartment you "push the fuel filler flap" :-)

Lost in translation then! lol !

The SE Business doesn't have the forward facing camera at the top of the windscreen to support this feature unfortunately.

How many SE BUSINESS cars we got on here now ?

To be honest mats from Skoda aren't expensive. I bought full rubber mats (3 boys who always have muddy feet) including the useful tunnel mat that goes over the raised bit between the back seats for less than 100 quid. I shopped around and my local dealer was no more expensive than anyone else. Especially pleased with reversible boot mar.
