Fitted HID

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Just fitted HID to my 2010 plate VRS. Which now work fine with DRL etc but as soon as I flash my highbeams headlights the HID flicker do I just need the cancellers to sort this??

As soon as switch high beams off they work fine

Thanks kelby

Mine used to do this when i had no warnimg cancellers. Put cancellers in and no issue since

Can you put links to the HID kit and warning cancellers (if they work OK with FL) please?

How did you solve the DRL issue?

Brilliant I've just ordered some so fingers crossed that works

Be warned the FL doesn't tend to like HID kits so I'd suggest you put some money to one side to replace the CECM if it gets damaged by them.

Have you coded them in using VCDS?

What does it do to the CECM??

My mates have VCDS but followed all tips on forum to which none applied but works treat now

It burns out the mosfets that provide power for the lights, this normally results with the front drivers indicator staying on at all times.

Some members will now refuse to code the FL for HID's and it's one of the main reasons I haven't fitted them to mine. Just wanted to make you aware as it may never happen but it could be just a few hours driving away :/
