Featured Replies

ill swap him a snake belt for em

Quite the collection.

You'd hope that would go to a tech museum.

There's quite a lot of duplicates in there though. I'm selling off more of my collection at the mo. Not quite on that scale but I'll clear £1k from three Sega consoles and games.

I have to say if someone was sending me something valued at nearly £70K and only charging me £26 for delivery I would be seriously worried............

maybe with the £70k he could buy himself a proper camera instead of a potato :D

Wow! Amazing!

R Type was a brilliant game. I had it on my Amiga.

I can't understand the prices of Neo Geo games. Back in the day and today's prices.

Manic Miner was brilliant...and Lemmings...Happy days

The neogeo was essentially an arcade machine

I always wanted one but being an after school potwasher for a local hotel and a paperboy I had no flippin chance

All about grannies garden on the BBC acorn with orange keys

Oh and teacups

Crazy money for the PC engine back in the day

The Amiga stuff I got weren't much different in quality either, all for less than a pound (copied)

I remember once buying 1000 disks and they lasted me 12 weeks

Never sold em for profit, just collected them, and never got time to play half of them

I met the bloke that wrote/designed lemmings once.

He was very geeky but had a nice Ferrari and his bird looked expensive too.

I think that might be a typo, near the top of the description he says shipping to US, Canada and Europe is ~ £2,600, I suspect the system may have added a decimal point.

I wonder if this means he finally has a girlfriend........

eBay won't let you specify postage higher than twenty six quid, no matter how large the items.

Yes, the limits are very annoying. I sold a collectors edition of a game recently and it was a big and heavy box that cost nearly a tenner to ship. Wonderful eBay decided that as it was a computer game, the postage should be limited to about £3. So I listed it under a different category.

Oh and I had an Atari ST :)

Thanks for that, as I refuse to use the bay, that is something I didnt know.

There are ways round it, especially for huge collections like this, and for all the drawbacks eBay is still the best place to sell certain things. You'll get more for old consoles here than the alternatives - I sold a Megadrive and games for nearly £500 which is a couple of hundred more than I expected.

Wow that takes me back a long time, ZX Spectrum, games like Attic Attack, Manic Miner, Football Manager, Jet Pac, Jet Set Willy etc etc
