Mk2 Superbs: do they suffer with the leaves and crud behind the front arches?

Featured Replies

Hey guys

So Mk2 Superbs, do they suffer with the leaves and crud behind the front arches near the sills?

My octavia Mk2 did suffer with this.. like a fair old pile of crud which i cleaned out and will be checking anyway soon on the superb

Cheers guys!

Yes, the tops of the wings when looking into them from the engine bay are open.

The scuttle tray catches the leaves and debris, the rain and water forced down by the wipers pushes it all down through the little drain holes / grill and it eventually works its way down behind the wheelarch liner where it slowly turns into compost.

Permanently wet mud pressed firmly against metal bodywork, nice!

Doing this doesn't help though either...

LOL!

My octavia was the same, had a ton of leaves and stuff all down there make a nice little pile on the drive

Will get the arch liners opened and cleaned out properly on the next wash on a dry day as p1ssing down all day today

Then a heavy layer of anti corrosion wax in the offending areas!
