Featured Replies

Evening all ,

Looking to get some hid's from london colour for my pre fl vrs and just want to know which set to go for as there are a few non canbus ones

Thanks

Go for the 5k non canbus kit then get someone with vcds to code it in.

4300k kit is what I had for the oe look

Cheers for that Mike , yea may be worth a trip out as u know what your doing and I have no idea lol !

Plus how would you know if "it has a BCM instead of the separate modules" ?????

Would one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371121202477?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT not help with stopping the bcm getting fried on the FL? well thats what I'm hoping as just fitted london colour hid kit with these to mine

No! That is the same as the "error free" kits.

BCMs are fitted to face lift MkII Octavias and the half and half blackline special edition pre FL cars. So if yours is pre FL then it won't have a combined BCM.

Dame it! does that mean I could screw my bcm?

I have fitted the same kit to my wifes fl and coded it 6 months ago and it been fine but I dont have a vcds anymore

Seems to be hit and miss whether they cause problems or not. 2010 cars seem particularly susceptible.
