It doesn't. The tyre indicates a rotation direction. Think about it for a moment, that is all that is needed to show how they fit on the car. Once on the car you couldn't swap left to right side as yoy have to flip the wheel. But when you are fitting them you don't need to do this.

I think the  tyre has " Outside " stamped on them, the RS3 tyres are not Directional they are asymmetrical. once fitted they can go on any corner where as directional tyres can only go on one side unless you turn the tyre on the rim

A thread mentioning an RS3 and no one has posted links to secondhand prices, recent test drives that resulted in a haggle but no purchase made, links to alternative tyres that would probably be better and did I mention haggled prices on available cars that were not bought but cheered the salesman up as he probably had nothing better to do anyway.
