I have ordered but don't have superb yet it's something that bugs me with current car boot lighting is awful. So will have light before car.

Where do they fit? It says easy to fit but doesnt say how.

Looking at the photo it looks like they fit on the side of the boot?? I cant see anywhere to fit them unless they are a sort of stick on rechargeable lamp??????

I too am interested to learn more about this.

You pry out the standard bulb housing and replace it entirely. You disconnect the small wire connecting the old bulb and connect the new ones and then push the entire housing back into the recess in the trunk wall.

I ordered this for my Fabia from Superskoda.com and admittedly needed to file down the side of the housing in my Fabia's trunk wall (hard plastic) as the Superskoda replacement was a teeny bit too big.

They are bright and really good but definitely not worth the price in my opinion... Especially considering a CANBUS LED T10/W5W Bulb is around a fiver.

So keen to hear your thoughts on them but I'll probably be ordering two CANBUS bulbs which for now I presume are T10 but will wait to see when somebody can confirm!

You think so ? Why that ? It's the best boot lighting I've had in a car.

But I dont have any lights in the trunk wall. This is the piccie from superskoda and I dont have any lights there. Hence my question.

I have the removable torch and two std 5w (?) lamps on the tailgate/boot lid. I wonder whether the piccie is a limo/hatch. I have the combi/estate

That picture is the boot of the Hatch. It is possible that they would also fit the Combi positions.

The light fixture for Superb III combi boot lid looks very much like the boot light fixture for Octavia III. I have a set of Octavia III superskoda LED boot lights and plan to test them when my Superb arrives.

I had these in the mk2 and took them out, now fitted in the mk3 and just a 2 minute job.

They are so much better so recommend them!

Could you please upload a picture of what the standard light/housing that you took out of the S3 boot looks like? And maybe take out the halogen bulb inside them so we can see what type they are?

That would be very very helpful! And I'm glad the S2 ones work and are just as good!

Just order a set of boot lights for my Superb Estate, will post pictures when they arrive.

I fitted one in the Yeti when I bought that and whilst it is good it was a/ very expensive and b/ needed the trim to be enlarged slightly to fit.

So for my MKIII I went down the replacement W5W bulb with a pair of LED’s:

I used the LED’s in the middle (with 4 LED’s on one side):

I do not have a photo in the dark but suffice to say they are pretty bright!.... oh and they cost about £1 each!

Whilst I was at it I did the glove box light as well!

I looked at the boot lights and they looked like sealed units. How did you open them Gizmo68 ?

Remove the wiring plug from the light (so you do not short it out whist changing the bulb)

Then prise each corner of the metal cover off with a small screw driver, this reveals the bulb, straighten the cover and pop it back on once the bulbs have been changed.

Actually if they have the black plastic cover on them then again this will pivot off

Thank You

Lights have arrived from SuperSkoda and the connection is different to my estate. Have asked how am I supposed to fit them. Will report back.

Could you please add pictures?

I have ordered the boot lights and they do not fit my estate. In the estate the lights are in the boot door and not in the inside walls as for the hatch. The led connectors are diffrent. Very anoying because superskoda states 100% compatible with the estate version. I'm waiting for their response too as Simon-R

I ordered them aswell in advance of my cars arrival because they did state that they are 100% compatible with the Combi. They arrived in the post during the week & look very similar to the boot lights of the Mark 2 Combi. I'm interested in seeing if they are, if not then SuperSkoda are in for a ******ing!

Got an email from superskoda stating that they should fit. They will provide a installation video. I will keep you informed!

Got the same email - waiting for the installation video, cant wait  :D

Just got an email from SuperSkoda with a video for a 5 dr Hatch. I can only assume the connector is different on the estate. I will send them some pictures and see what they say...
