Hello all, just signed up as I'm on the hunt for a 2011/12 Superb Estate for family duties.  It I can find a 2.0Tdi 170ps DSG 4x4 Elegance that would tick every box including towing duties.

 

Thought I'd signed up before, but obviously not, when trying to figure out what was going on with my Mum's Fabia 1.6Tdi when it stranded her in the found of France last year, ended up being EGR/DPF related and Skoda recovered her back to the UK free of charge, can't really grumble about that!

If it were me, I have to say I'd make the trip to go and look at the one BB's posted a link to.  I miss my Superb.

We ended up buying a Passat B7 in 2015 which was great and I would very happily have kept it, but with our youngest about to move out of her size0 car seat my wife has decided the kids both need to be in rear facing child seats until they are older, and being 6'4" there's no way one of those was going behind me in the drivers seat.  

So last week we bought a 64 plate Superb 2.0TDi 140 DSG Elegance.  Couple of photos below.  I have some questions on the DSG I'll stick up in the Superb section shortly, it drives very differently from the Passat, and the low profile tyres on the 18s don't really suit the comfortable waftiness of the suspension, but that's easily sorted.

Agree on the comfort with the low profile tyres.  Change to a higher profile ( go to 45) or a new set of wheels which will be the more expensive option.  It was a shame that the MKII came with a 40 profile.  They really didn't suit the car as you say.

I am hoping the 16s on my Golf are ok to use on this, need to check the offset of the wheels and speed rating on those tyres.  I've been on the lookout for a nice set of the VW Seattle 17s from the GTD for a while now.
