tyre size?

Featured Replies

I have 2012 fl vrs, it has the 18" vrs alloys, I have 17" alloys off an audi in the garage that will fit my car, I was thinking of putting winter tyres on these, cam some one please advice me on what tyre size I should use? is it 205/55/17?

Just look at fuel tank cover and you will see some information on it (inside): recommended tyre sizes, tyre pressures etc.

That might be helpful.

Pre facelift Vrs are 225/45 17 as standard summer tyres.

Thanks, I forgot the sizes were in the fuel flap, I've misplaced the owners manual

I have the same car. My winter tyres are 225/45-17s on 7.5x17 ET45 alloy wheels. Actually prefer to drive the car on its winter wheels than on the summer set as it then has a better ride and is quieter.

that is the set up I'll be after, I did a 300 mile round trip at the wkend and just realised how loud road noise is in the vrs lol

Ive just put my Audi 17 winters on with 235 45 17 no problems

When I put winter tyres on my previous car I noticed I was getting an extra 2mpg !
