it's growing on me very rapidly.that front valance is going to be an "in the flesh "thing for me though, the lines are confusing

Stop Teasing Us!!!!

Yeah! I'm liking that!

Interior looks spot on.

Subtle new "V" logo as well.

I would have one just for the multiple different size bottle holders

Seriously though, it does look a lovely car.

Just want a piccie of a blue diesel vrs octy II

My local dealer denies any knowledge of a diesel version - but then again he cant even tell me when there demo car is arriving or when I can get a brochure

I love the internal trim no more stupid white carpets and seat trim and the quality looks so good. I just wish it was coming in at the same price as the current RS but that is dreaming.

Also colour matched trim makes the car look so good compared to the old RS only down point is it does not look as aggressive.

is that Red really that dark ?

maybe the reds for a differnt market rather than the old Rally Red they had...more of a darker red for some class? or just the filter on the photo's

Definately growing on me. Looks fantastic!

OH Bu**er!!! Why did you have to show me the estate, I thought I was set on the 4x4 and now you've done this!! My local dealers gunna love you, cheers mate!!

They could've cleaned the drivers seat.... Looks good though.

My thoughts exactly

But the more I see this car, the MORE I WANT

Rally Red was initially usde on the RS....very much like the VW Mars Red...a kind of light red....later versions had the Corrida Red...which is a litle darker and deeper....much nicer IMHO....looks like the red in the pics.

Haha..the seats in the silver one are already dirty...

It looks very nice, but it doesn't scream "Must have" at me - certainly not at the price they're asking anyway. Does anyone know what the tuning potential of the 2.0 TFSI is yet?

Well I think it looks great

Its a totally different car to the Mk1, so why keep comparing it?

The interior looks great, love the new logo too. I particularly like the covers for the storage compartments with the little chrome details. :o

The outside looks smooth and classy, the colour coded handles and rubbing strips definitely help too.

All in all, still looks like a great buy, even at the inflated prices compared to the Mk1

And are the white perforated bits on the seats leather? Just wondered if they are dirty marks, or shadowing caused due to the light on more of an alcantara like material

The price may be higher this time, but the technology is a lot newer also - it's not that long ago that the GTi was the only car with this drivetrain - now we have the Octavia costing £2k less and winning group test against the golf and focus ST(whatcar) - your basically buying a more practical golf gti for less money!
