Converting Standard Pegasus Alloys into L&K Anthracite?

Featured Replies

I said I'd start a new thread on this as I was going off topic in the Picture thread.

I'm looking to put the 18" Pegasus Antracite wheels on to my Superb Style (SE L) as I love the look of them. Ideally I was hoping that an alloy wheel repair company would convert my standard Pegasus by a re-spray but the companies I spoke to said they only spray the alloys all one colour & not two-tone. Does anyone know of an Alloy Wheel Specialist in Ireland that can do the job I want?. Plan B is buy the L&K ones & sell my ones to re-coup some of the cost but would rather get a respray.

Try hitechwheelfinishes.ie,  they might be able to do two-tone, as they say they can apply corporate colours onto wheels, so would appear to be more than one colour.

They are based in Dublin 11, at the Rosemount Business Park.

That's perfect, thanks lads!

They are lovely, but bear in mind they wont last many winters before the lacquer peels.

actually they look diamond cut.

wheel wizards out in finglas is worth a call too - they can handle a diamond cut finish pretty well!

yep - they are.

so basically they would clean off the wheel, powder coat or spray it the background colour, then use a diamond cutting rig to clean off the face. It would give you your two tone finish.

wheel wizards would be my first stop for this.

Just heard back from hitechwheelfinishes.ie €120 per Alloy plus Vat so over €500. I'd nearly buy an original set for that price. Anyone know how much they are. Im having 'difficulty' trying to get hold of my dealer.....

My dealer has quoted me £1190 for a set to replace the wrongly fitted silver ones that I have.

You can get them for just over 1000 euros from Germany but you have to pick them up from there.

Dealer not playing ball then ?

Dealer not playing ball and taking the P by the sounds of it. Name and Shame! Try asking a local TPS how much four 3V0 071 498H HA7 costs. Then it's just the cost of swapping the tyres over. I can't see how that's 1K+ and in any case, car is not as specified they should be sorting it out.

Ouch! You'd think that they would at least make a gesture on price after messing up on your order. After the ridiculous quote they gave me for winter wheels (alloy) which was about £800 more than Mercedes charged me for my E Class set & quoting me a price for the iPad holder that was more than twice what it said in the brochure, I'm not ordering any more accessories from them! I might try one of the TPS places that others have suggested.

I probably better check that they got my wheels right too as I've got the same salesman as you!

I didn't realise that the Pegasus Anthracite were available to order so was going to go for Zenith Anthracite for my winter alloys.

They're available as an accessory not an upgrade.
