**SOLD** Octavia VRS WRC Ltd Edition - 82,000 miles**

Featured Replies

Welcome to my advert. After a great deal of deliberation I have decided to sell my much loved Mk1 Octavia VRS WRC due to a new business venture. To those who don't know what this is, this is a very rare opportunity to buy one of only 100 vehicles made by Skoda to commemorate 100 years in motor sport. This is one of the 25 RHD cars and is a 2003 model with just 82,000 miles. It has a full service history which is mostly Skoda Main Dealer and Skoda Specialist. There are 9 stamps in the service book and I have a raft of paperwork including most of the old MOTs, the delivery note and receipts for work carried out. In the last few weeks I have spent over £500 preparing this car for sale. Work carried out includes fully refurbished alloy wheels in the correct Candy White at cost of £300, new performance air filter and repaired the faulty central locking. I also had the coil packs replaced last week under the Skoda recall to ensure that this car is in tip top condition.

I have owned this car for the last 5 years during which time I have cherished her. She has a few subtle modifactions including a stage 1 remap by AMD (done at 37K), a forge closed loop diverter valve, a Pipercross panel air filer (brand new) and a Superpro polyurethane bush kit (fitted in 2012). In addition, I have only ever ran her on Shell V-Power.

The bodywork is in excellent condition with only a few very minor age related marks. The timing belt was last changed in July 2013 at 65K, it also had recent front discs and tyres which all have at least 5mm of tread left. MOT until Oct 2016.

The WRC comes as standard with the following modifications over the standard VRS:

Candy White paint with matching 17" Spider alloys

Heated front seats

Xenon headlights with washers

ESP (rather than ASR) traction control

Rear mud flaps

Cargo net in the boot

Plastic trim removed from sides

Skoda livery (removed on this example)....there may be some others I've missed.

Unfortunately the dash plaque which denotes the number of the run is was missing when I purchased the vehicle and so I have been unable to identify which number she is. However the vehicle has been verified as a genuine WRC via the Chassis Number with some help from the Briskoda community and, in my opinion, the missing plaque does not detract from this wonderful example of a incredibly rare and collectable nailed on future classic.

I am looking for £4000 but am willing to listen to sensible offers. No timewasters or dreamers please. Genuine enquiries only. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate in contacting me on 07710 782952 or via the forum.

** Due to file size, I am struggling to upload photo's, but would be happy to send any on request.**

Welder1,

The car is only in Stockport, that's 2hrs by train from London Euston,

Then about 4hrs 15mins drive back. Don't let that put you off the car. I do this journey around 10 times a month, easy done in a day.

The journey does not put me off its just I work two jobs NHS unsociable hours its getting time to go up there . Used to travel all round the uk in my engineering job. Will have to look seriously about doing this . Peter

At least you don't have to get on a plane to go and collect it !

Do u fancy a BMW 330i e46 msport as part X

Or a Mini Cooper 1.6

Very nice car.

The model Octy to have IMO.

Shame about the dash plaque.

At least you don't have to get on a plane to go and collect it !

Seconded. Or the alternative option for me is a 12-14hr ferry journey, which I would have to do in one direction anyway to get the car home, followed by six or so hours on a train. I love living far away haha.

i could deliver it for anyone anywere

Could you not get another plague for the dash .like they do for anniversary golfs

Would be nice

So is this a private sale or as in Autotrader a business sale. Does the delivery note and registration  not justify the cars authenticity as a WRC Octavia. Peter

I have a company and buy and sell a few cars but this is my personal car which I have owned for over 5 years. I have a trade account with Autotrader though which makes it slightly cheaper to advertise. Selling through my business also means I can offer a warranty and take card payments.

The authenticity has been confirmed by the chassis no. / PR codes with the help of some other members of the forum. See the thread in the WRC section.

Getting very tempted by this lovely car, something I can assure would be well looked after by me. I am 62 so a mature driver and have always cherished my cars. Will check my work loading, can this car be picked up anytime . Peter

I'm sure we can arrange a suitable time for you to come and have a look. I can be available most afternoons (although I do have a childcare commitment) or any time over the weekend is possible (although weekend after next is tricky).

If you want more info or want to make an arrangement to come up, give me a call on the number above.

Cheers

Dan

great car if i wasn't getting married i would be owning it

Ok, I've had a lot of interest from people who either don't have the cash or can't make the trip. I will now take £3k for the car. The first person to come with cold hard cash can own it. You won't be disappointed.

I also have some brand new Superpro anti roll bar bushes to go on and a spare Pipercross air filter to throw in as they will be no good to me.

Any takers?

Hi,

Is this car still available?

Surprisingly to me, yes it is.
