creaking noise!help

Featured Replies

got a right creaking noise when drive slow, and corner, can't really hear it when up to speed,

had mot few days ago and they didn't advice anything to be a problem about from track rod ends were worn and they've been changed!

the only creaking noise I can find that sounds like the noise is pushing on top of the bonnet where the scuttle panel is?

any help would be great!

Check all the subframe bolts

It could be a number of issues. I had a problem where the droplinks were causing a noise after we'd disturbed them while replacing the steering rack. Other culprits seem to be rear console bushes and ball joints.

If there has been a dry period (unlikely) in the weather, metal parts will/do creak..bit like my joints with a cold spell..LOL

Wait until the MOT, they'll pick-up any faults that you can then, can get fixed, and try not to fret too much, until then..

Good-luck with the MOT..

Anti roll bar bushes! Or suspension console bushes usually due to being dry. There a suspension rubber oil that is used on assembly. Probably washed away by now. An mot will not tell you where your creaking is from. An mot test is just a minimum standard of safety test.
