Octavia 1 TDI 110 elegance.

Four tyres are needed in the next month or so.

There is about 2.6-3mm of tread left.

V? Standard on the Elegance 110 was a W rating (check your spare; it may still be an original that's never been mounted).

Personally, I like the Toyo T1-R in that size; it even works in snow!

Thanks Ken, you are quite correct. the unused spare is 91W.

Not sure the best way to get them fitted.

Set of 4 on ebay for £156 from Demon Tweeks.

Then who fits them and checks the tracking, any local fitter?

Halfords will supply and fit for  £219.

Or black circles and their local fitter for £214.

110 hp car with 240 kph (149 mph) to 270 kph (168 mph) speed rating? You car's max speed is probably ~124 mph, why can't you buy tyres with lower speed index? THey will be cheaper and anyway you will probably never drive with the speed even close to the max. possible.

As I'm not from UK then I don't know the insurance issues.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance is a well suited tyre for that size. Quiet, little better on fuel and not to spendy either

I would have the Dunlop Sport BluResponse over the Goodyear EGP tyre.

Had the Goodyears on a Mk2.5 focus and they were quiet, but the sidewalls are too soft, whereas the Dunlops on the Octy2 are better and just as quiet. The Dunlops grip well and aren't too soft despite being 205/65r15s

I would say standard Goodyear Efficientgrip will be fine.

I ran them on various Skodas over the past few years and done thousands of miles (50,000 a year) with no problem at all.

They are very good in all conditions.

I've not used the Dunlops but they seem to get glowing reviews as well as the GY EGP. With the EGP (and the F1A2 as they have a softish sidewall) just run a 2-3 PSI higher. Never hampered me yet!

I thought the Peformance version had superseded the standard EG?

Not sure on that but My Tyres still have them listed.

And I havnt used the performance ones but the standard were very good and I do drive hard and around 1000 miles a week.

I do like Goodyears and have been using them for 14 years.
