Springs and dampers for £256

I wanted the 35/3mm drop but someone asked a FAQ and they said they would fit physically but there are ones made for the VRS load and Spring rate but they're only 25mm drop all round.

I wanted to get rid of majority of that horrible arch gap as much as I welcomes the inprovments to handling.

What do you think? Discuss below.

I feel like they sell more 35/30 than 25 all round and they probably want to get rid of more of those so say get those ones, haha.

Get the correct ones for your vehicle, don't go arsing around fitting incorrect Spring rates etc

Look on DPMperformance the 35/30 say 1.9tdi etc they're all the same chassis, shape and weight as far as 1.9tdi and 1.9tdi VRS I assume?

If you want more lows then save up for coilovers.

The vrs is heavier due to the 6 speed box weighing a ton. The front spring load on the two kits your looking at is different because of this.

Oh I see there's a 60kg difference.

Does that matter? Would you say I shouldn't get the 35/30?

Bear in mind that the VRS is already lower than a PD100 as standard, so the same kit will lower both cars to the same final height although the VRS will be lowered less than the PD100. It's certainly a very good price.

The arch gap looks about 60mm it's horrible.

Cosmetically I want it probably dropped 40-50mm but performance wise so I can still drive like I do, I thought I'd settle for a sensible 35/30mm

Does the 60kg matter on the front axle load for VRS?

From factory a VRS sits lower than a standard PD100 so if you buy the 35mm it will sit no different to the other APs

Unless I'm missunderstanding, doesn't that just make the VRS lower?

Like 70mm gap vs 60mm gap - lower 35m = 35mm gap PD100 vs 25mm gap on VRS??

Or what do you mean, I don't get it.

My arch gap is like 60m, I want it smaller and I've seen some 25mm around here and it looks standard.

Yes it'll make it lower but with an incorrect Spring and possibly damping rate which as I found may make it drive like a bag of ****

60kg is the weight of a light person,so yeah of course it will make a difference.

These ones say VRS, 960kg load and 40mm.

What do you think? Only another 45 quid.

Just cut your springs, you'll still have the same spring rate that way....

Please don't do that, it's scrapyard tuning and it isn't appropriate, spend the £45 if you value arch gap over bumpy B road handling.

Yh it's a 25mm drop on the VRS with the AP kit, I ran it for a year with no complaints, handled well and perfect for every day driving, didn't have to come to a complete stop for every bump, etc, in the end i just wanted to go lower so stuck with AP and got their coilovers, never looked back since!
