Skoda fabia wing mirrors

Featured Replies

Hi i was hoping someone could help me, i got a skoda fabia 1.2 petrol 07 plate, the manual wing mirror adjusters on both sides are both facing downwards, they won't adjust the mirrors, i can only set the mirrors by actally touching the mirror itself to how i need them,

I'm hoping it can be a simple fix, can someone help please, thanks

Perhaps the connector that connects them to the plastic clip that attaches to the glass has come off? Try removing the glass carefully carefully, (I wrote that twice s you do need to take care). You might find thats the problem, particularly if someone has walloped them!

You might need to set the lever centrally as you try to reconnect them,  a helping hand might just be called for.

(P.S. You mean door mirrors... Modern cars have not had wing mirrors for years now... Lol).

Ok thanks for that, i will bear that in mind, i am hoping that they have just disconnected and its just a case of putting them back in place

Manual mirrors if memory serves well are adjusted by three cables. Probably somwhere along the way those cables either are disconnected, cut or even stuck.

Anyway if the issue is not behind the mirror then you will need to remove the doorpanel, no other way I'm afraid.

Hope you sort it easy enough... Mines has leccie ones which can have their own problems but much more preferable.

mine are the same ,both sides, never have mended them.

Interested to know if you do and if so how?

Interested to know if this ever got sorted? I’ve got an 08 Fabia with manual adjustment for the mirrors & it’ll only work for pointing the mirror down. Finding it difficult to find info on how to repair it!
