Featured Replies

Front raidar worked today car in front suddenly braked for flooded road which he could not avoid. Display screen beeped and came on and I was able to braked safely. Nice to know this gadget works.

Has it helped anyone else get out of trouble Joe

What was it raiding? ;)

Yes, it works. Only happened once for me.. can't remember the circumstances.. but yes it started screaming at me well in time to break and avoid collision. Truly validated it's existence in my opinion, but only because no human is perfect and everyone will at some point not be looking ahead at the crucial moment...

It even put the brakes on fore when a driver before suddenly stopped infront of me

Ooh it works.

Too well in fact. At snowy weather it will be clogged and work all the time. I need to turn it of then, as the front parking sensors.

In all fairness, it was probably "radaring" in the "rain" - so that might just account for the term "raidar" - maybe not!

No idea (think it must have been watching Viking movies) just as well it switched from raiding  to radar in time ;)

Worked a couple of times for me, first time it beeped and lit the screen up when it spotted a cyclist coming round the roundabout I was approaching which I thought was very good, had spotted it but good to know its not just looking for cars. Then second time it was my fault as I had noticed the local indian wasn't open but not the car pulling over in front of me... fail, but this time it applied the breaks a bit but the beep got my attention and I was able to take over with the avoiding action.

Technology is good. I think we can all agree...!

Its v good. I have it on a Mk7 GTD and it helped me stop in a situation where I dont think Id gave stopped in time without its intervention. Put my hazard lights on for a short period of time too.

Whilst i dont and would never rely on it, one of those features that once you have it you'll miss it when it goes.
