Auto Headlights

Featured Replies

Evening guys.

Anyone had this issue.. I always have my headlights on auto so they come on and off when needed but for some reason they are on 24-7 they never switch off.. A light while ago we tried to fit HID and programme them in with VCDS but car still didon't like it but since then the light have stayed on any ideas

Thanks Kelby

What was changed with VCDS. Did you change the coding back after it didn't work?

I believe so I didn't use it myself my mate did but I checked with him and he seems to think it was all put back to normal but going to check again

First step is to double check the coding was reverted back to original.

Hopefully your mate did an auto scan before changing things. If he did you can just copy and paste the original coding back into the controller.

Agreed, before and after scans would be great! Did you remove the hids too?

Tried everything..we followed all steps that everyone else done but mine didn't have all the option

Autoscan?

What version of vcds was your mate using? I enabled auto lights on my 56 plate Octy which has the RLS and the option for xenons without a shutter.

It was the current upto date version as while I was there we downloaded the new copy...

But didn't run an autoscan?

Stupid as this sounds... it is winter, and alot darker and gloomier.

Certainly seems to affect the wifes Leon FR with auto lights and wipers, the lights are always on unless the sun comes out totally at the moment!

Hopefully just that but light enough to not be on

You could try a bright torch on the sensor to confirm it's working.

A current autoscan might throw up some ideas otherwise I've got no other obvious points to try...
