Front wheel bearing is captive within the hub assembly. Did you watch the video yet?

Yeah still trying to work it out? Are you saying the outer of the hub assembly with the ABS ring on is actually the hub inner race bearing within the knuckle asembly? There is also a wheel bearing inside the hub assembly is ther not. So two rotating surfaces

I see. That makes sense! How does that tool work ? Is it something like this ?

I used the special tool, but grinder away a little metal from the inner ring - track - because the ABS-sensor was fastened.

Else ok job, but many loose parts on the tool, but it worked.

any links/pictures of the tool needed? could probably do with front bearings soon as the last ones were fitted a few years back/recipts seem too cheap for decent parts

also, im assuming this can be done without removing the entire hub and strut? just pulling the drive shaft out the back and using the tool in situ?

Yes, it can be done but I ended up having to disconnect the steering arm and drop link on the passenger side to get enough clearance.

Perhaps I was not being brutal enough.

If you post where you are in the country maybe some-one who has the tool will chip in with an offer of a loan or help.
