De-Badge ?

Featured Replies

I removed the last badges, the 4x4 and L&K from the sides. Now the car is completely de-badged.

Been doing this with all of my cars.

Replace badges with dark carbon ones

Where did you get these badges?

I think I'll keep the badges on. The back looks quite naked without them.

In fact, I might pop to Halfords and augment what I already have.

How about SUPERB L&K 2.0TDI-CR190 SCR DSG?  :giggle:

missed the combi / estate part.

On the back of mine......Skoda Superb 4x4 Uncle Wang Edition.....sounds good to me! haha

How are the badges fixed? My old bmw just required them prizing off are the skoda ones the same?

I pulled off the original ones and stuck the new ones with double face tape. It worked ok. The ones from superskoda will work even better but they are more expensive so it's to you to choose how much you want to pay and if you prefer black or carbon look.

Damn and blast! They didn't have enough letters on the rack at Halfords. They've ordered some more for me.

And one of these beauties......

Taking off the L&K badge [emoji47]. I don't know about that. After paying a nice premium for a top end model I think that could be devaluing as opposed to de-badging! Each to their own I suppose.

To be honest, being a top spec machine, it suffers its most significant devaluation when it gets driven off the forecourt! I would think the effect of de-badging would be negligible.

The only badges I have left on are the L&K ones, the words "Skoda" and "Superb" have been removed from the boot and I think it makes the car look so much cleaner and the boot less cluttered.

Or.... Big Wang Edition ...

I'm keeping mine on. The Skoda badge really irks my neighbours

What the point of debadging a Skoda? For bmw/audi it makes sense, eg: people wouldn't want badges indicating they bought the most lowly versions of the car. A 318d would be wildly different (and significanty cheaper) than say, a 340i or 335d, so debadging makes sense as it will leave people wondering if it's one of the more powerful bmws. But on a Skoda there's nothing you can remove, eg: the 280 don't have any specific badge, and it don't make sense to remove the pretty exhausts :-)

Personally I prefer the clean lines of the debadged back, plus it makes cleaning the car simpler

We had a Chrysler Alpine (just before Talbot took over) which may also have had that accolade. Seemed like a decent enough car, but the electronic ignition failed and we were stranded in Yugoslavia for a few days!

Umm, but it wasn't de-badged ;-)

We had 4 Alpines, all in a row ('76, '79', '82 & '83) & didn't have any problems, the later ones (Talbot 1.6's) with power steering & 5-speed boxes were a great improvement though.

Im thinking of taking the badges off mine and selling them to a BMW or Merc owner at a grossly inflated price..... mines a petrol blue exec estate with cream interior, most comfortable motor I have owned and I've had loads...

post-61647-0-12825100-1483953618_thumb.jpg  De-badged mine. Don't rush it just take your time.

One more!

What's the situation with debadging the facelift Superb? Anyone tried removing the S K O D A lettering?

Curious about the answer. Personally, I don't like the S   K   O   D   A lettering too. If I had a FL MK3, I'd be tempted to de-bagde this lettering and put the usual logo instead.
