Arm Rest

Featured Replies

The 2007 Mk II vRS I bought doesn't have an arm rest, are these easy to retro fit ? If so where is the best place to procure one ?

I think it's called a jumbo box. There are guides on how to fit them. Others might have direct links.

But try a search for jumbo box.

You should be able to order all the required parts from a dealer if you're prepared to pay a premium, otherwise it's a case of scouring eBay and getting lucky. Check link in my sig for full fitting guide.

Watch out, the superskoda ones are LHD only I think...

Langers you are correct. I never noticed that when I found it.

Yes... I will post a pic of mine tomorrow night(on mobile now).. Anyway AliExpress about 40€ with shipping, looks good and a lovely fit.

Almost 100% sure there IS an aftermarket option to get literally just an armrest that's been fitted on quite a few cars on this site, but it was a while ago.  It's like the top of a jumbo box but literally just the padded bit that goes up and down and nothing else. Pretty basic, but functional. Sorry, don't know which threads it'll be on though.

Edit: Knew I'd seen it somewhere...

Where can you get the jumbo boxes from ?

Just changed mine to a armrest with a jumbo box it also came with ducting for the rear vents on the armrest. Cost me 72 pounds all in. Second hand in good condition. It's not the easiest job took me a couple of hours taking my time. Your best bet is to type in Skoda Octavia breaking on eBay and find one off that. Be patience not many around.

A1 spares in Bearwood Road, Wokingham had a couple in cars when I went a few months ago. The tops might have needed a clean, didn't actually bother looking close up since I've got one.

I'll keep my eye out for a breaking vRS to get a jumbo box and armrest

I just bought the one from the ebay link lets hope its as good as the owner said it is ,i have been looking on ebay for ages for a vrs armrest most seem to be cloth .

Be aware that most VRS models don't have the jumbo box. Keep a look out for Elegance and L&K models for a better chance of finding one.

Mike

That's not really the Mike, from 2007ish onwards the jumbo pack was standard fit, the majority of vrses on the road/in scrapyards should have one.
