4x4 tdi

Featured Replies

In Sweden 4x4 2.0 TDI and RS TDI can be ordered from July.

Better than my english. If you have a 140tdi you only have to drive 943 km until it

Really don't like the Scout styling and wheels :thumbdwn:

Don't suppose any of the British Skoda dealer boys n girls on here can confirm if and when the 140 PS 4x4 (with or without silly body kit) will make it to these shores can they?

Have been following this thread for a while now and I sooooo want one of these. Test drove a 1.9 Tdi 4X4 and loved it but wanted a little more omph.

Please does anybody have any info regarding it's arrival on these shores?

It's even got me thinking about importing one if they're not for sale in the UK (which I hope it is).

As far as the body kit goes, I'd have to see it in the flesh.

Just thought I would revive this thread. Has anyone heard when/if the 2.0 TDI 4x4 will make it to the UK? :)

I currently have a Freelander and am due to change next year. I never go off road but need 4 wheel drive because of the Highland winters and the Octy looks ideal. Would really like the 2.0 engine (and DSG but that's too much to hope for :grumpy:) as I hear it's better than the 1.9.

Dropped Skoda UK an email regarding the 2.0 TDi 4x4 coming to the UK and they said that there are no plans to release it here as yet.

They did say that they have had a lot of enquiries regarding it... HELLO WE'RE TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING.

I've been looking around the Skoda Europe websites and although I only speak Devonshire I've seen the 2.0 TDi 4x4 on the Czech, Swiss and Austrian sites where it's available it 'normal' or Elegance trim levels

Come on Skoda please release it here soon....

The optimist in me would say that if they have plans to bring to the UK they wouldn't let on as their sales in the current model would stall. The pessimist in me would say they won't bring it here as it would compete with other VAG offerings.

My dealer said expect it around oct/nov shortly after the vRS TDi

Let's hope he's right. :)

My local dealer agrees however he didn't know if it was the 140 or the 170.

I hope he is right too, and i'd love it if it was the 170.

The 170 is probably too much to hope for, would be really nice though. :)

At least UK dealers are starting to acknoledge that this model does exist. I'll ask the local dealer next time I'm down there.

Agreed a 170 would be very nice indeed:) .

They couldn't engineer a right hand drive 4X4 diesel MKI, so it is possible this could be coming out in left hand drive only.

Well they cracked it for the Mark II so I would think that they would be able to engineer a right hand drive model in that spec if they really wanted to.

Only time will tell. :)

There is definitely a 2.0 140 TDi 4x4 coming soon. We aren't quite able to order them yet but should be available end Sept /early Oct.

That's good news. I won't be changing until next year so it will give me time to see what people think of the new model and to have a good test drive, and also to find a good dealer. :)

DSG, too good to hope for I suppose. :weeping:

Well it looks like the Kiwis have the 140 4x4 if I have understood this correctly: Skoda NZ

As they have right hand drive over there, no excuse for leaving us Brits out is there? :D

Do any off you know are they going to do a 2.0 tdi 140 or 170 4x4 estate or hatch in new shap like the golf 4 motion

Definitely no hatch at present, but you will soon be able to order a 2.0 TDi 140 estate 4x4

Edit: sorry I forgot I'd replied to this already.

Ideal that is good news.

I do have conspiracy theory that Skoda UK are advertising the 4X4 on TV at the moment so they can shift the 1.9Tdi before they bring in the 2.0Tdi. Could be wrong but it's only a theory.

Good to hear that Oct/Nov looks like the date when we'll see 140 bhp 4x4's coming in. I will almost certainly be getting one next year.

I also agree that Skoda UK will be pushing the 1.9 TDi 4x4 as hard as possible in the next few months so it will require a bit of pushing back to get past the salesman trying to get rid of the 1.9 stock plus all the 1.9 TDi 4x4 trade in's.

Could always go online I suppose :)
