Hi, a couple months ago i bought a fabia 3 whitout mfsw, now i want to retrofit it. I have the buttons from an octavia 3, i can order the wiring from steering electronics to the mfsw, but i wonder wich control device can be coded with the mfsw, i heard there are some who can be coded with it and others who don't. Before i order the wiring i want to be sure...

Not sure its that easy on these new models.

There is a lot of component protection coded in to stop changes.

Not like the old days Golf mk4 etc you could add and code most things.

The problem is not component protection, but some control devices can be equiped and some don't, there is a low version and a high, but i can't find the part numbers of the devices that can be equiped...

It's plug and play if the car has telephone. Then the gateway and BCM is high version

Thank you, the car is equiped with the standard phone. Does it need any coding? Would the mfs buttons frol an 2014 octavia work in this fabia?

Hi, at the beginning sorry for my English.

I also want retrofit MFSW in My Fabia III. I have telephone with BT on board.

My BCM is: Part No SW: 6C0 937 087 C.

I bought part: steering wheel: 5E0419091AG with new cable to Airbag supporting MFSW 6C0971584C.

And switches 6C09535513F and 6C0953501P. W/o TRIP. I should now be used on the steering wheel trip.

My fabia has no display DOT MATRIX.

So if its Plug and Play,  Which bits in which bytes I should set.

Regards

Łukasz

Hi there,

Can you please tell me if you solved this issue since I have exactly the same problem , the difference being that I don't have BT and my radio is SWING (MY16)

Hi Artan,

Unfortunately, I managed to make only the cruise control retrofit. MFSW 99% BCM needs to upgrade it to 6C0 937 090 C. But as long as the car is under warranty I will not be exchanged BCM.

Best ragards

Lukasz.

Hello,

My question would be that I hooked the buttons in the cabinet, I activated it in VCDS, but outside the buttons, but they do not react to anything. It's a Fabia 3 Clever 2016. What's the problem with it? What else do you have to do with coding? The buttons are 5E0919719L.

Yes this is high BCM No need replace them. You can retrofit MFSW.

Thanks for confirming this :)

So just to confirm the parts:

Steering wheel: 5E0419091AG

Cable to Airbag: C0971584C.

And switches 6C09535513F and 6C0953501P? <--- do i need to replace the switches / stalks?

Also getting a different steering wheel will I have to worry about Component protection?

Thank you for confirming this. I will surely make sure to leave feedback. Also to check does the steering wheel need to be from a superb? There are so many variants
