Yeti No 2 has arrived

You can't beat that boreal wood.

Lovely car but we'll have to disagree on the wood.

The piano black on my L&K looks MUCH classier.  :D

Smart looking Yeti but I have to say I'm not a fan of the wood trim either.

Obviously the wood trim is a personal like/dislike. However, I think it goes much better with the Gobi sand leather interior where it "fits" with both the black dashboard and the "Sand" lower dash and seating.

What color is this?

I ordered the wood trim with the Gobi sand leather and I like it better than the standard trim on the FL

It's Quartz Grey.

I know that the wood won't be to everyone's taste but I have always liked wood trim in cars. The SEL comes with shiny grey trim as standard which I really didn't like.

I'm with the OP on the side trim. Good choice.

I've got the standard browny grey in my SE L which is pretty non-descript. Sort of goes OK with the Petrol Blue but the Piano Black would be nicer.

The wood does look nice (and certainly better than mine) but I associate it with the days of yore in prestigious cars like Jaguars etc.

The car looks fantastic - superb colour!

My order is in business grey and I was wondering if that is how it looks like.

I've only seen a Superb in business grey before ordering. :-)

I wonder what the normal percentage of car owners go on to buy another of the same (excepting the odd foray towards an Alfa...) - certainly there does appear to be a lot of us sticking with the breed.

I'll be picking up my 3rd Yeti on Wednesday so I'm one of the ones 'sticking with the breed'!

My Yeti is due for replacement in 2017 (usually keep cars 5-6 years). New Yeti is due late 2017, hopefully it will be "better" in terms of refinement, efficiency etc. However, I fear it will be corporatised to fit the Skoda corporate image and its styling will be more mainstream to compete with the mass of small SUV's now on the market.

I am now thinking that I might bet a good deal on a runout of the existing model mid 2017. Skoda might offer some more interesting options in order to boost sales before the new model is launched - 1.4 Tsi DSG or a bucketful of extras for little money?

Mind you the new Seat SUV based on the Leon is due out end 2016 so that might be a contender!

I have to agree that the dark colours do show the silver bits off to great effect. I'm finding the Quartz Grey looks slightly different everytime I see it. Sometimes it seems to be a bluey-grey, then a greeny-grey jthen just simple dark grey. I'm really happy with it!

Agreed, should I still be in the market .  The 1.2 Tsi would be an awfully big stepdown round these parts and no doubt I'd miss a 4x4 now and then (after 14 years this time round and nine, way back, in Landies).  And, no avoiding it, it's still got to be an auto box.
