I've got a lease due to finish in 13 months.

I've been completing mortgage apps and agreement in principles, the lease is reducing the amount I can borrow.

If I was to settle the outstanding lease amount, would I still be able to keep the car until the end official agreement date.

Going to phone up tomorrow but someone might already know?

I would imagine only your lease company would know that.

In principle it would be possible, and it would be in their favour as there would be a guarantee of no missed payments. However they might not want to deviate from the lease agreement as its a legal document.

It's through Volkswagen finance.

I guess I wouldn't be able to transfer in to someone else's name either?
