General vRS TDi Mods

Recommended Posts

Engine wise? Re-map, EGR delete, DPF removal, all depends how big you want to go or how much you want to spend. You can easily end up at bigger turbos and injectors in the case of PD engines, but I'd guess at the first three being fairly common.

As said before stage 1 map = 200bhp and loads of tourqe

dont remove the dpf it will fail the mot the best thing is to get the dpf filter gutted and mapped out this makes a huge difference to the pd vrs when remapped and for general driving as they get blocked it is also needed if you want a stage 2 tune ,

i personaly would keep the egr in place but it can be mapped out and you can fit an allard power pipe or black smoke power pipe .

change old style skoda badges for the new black and chrome style ones

change old worn out suspension for coilovers or a decent shock and spring kit, the shock and spring kits generally only lower the vrs around 20mm ,

Ahh I thought you meant mods as in engine specific with you mentioning it being a TDI. Plenty to be done otherwise, plenty of guys with some crazy builds and plenty with even just nice subtle touches that can make it look that bit better, main thing is you do it how you like it and not how everyone else thinks your car should look.

Oh and as pointed out by willy by DPF Removal interpret that whichever way you like but the MOT friendly option is to just knock the guts out (or if having a full system done have a pipe made which still looks like a DPF but has none of the internals) Same case with things like HID's where certain testers are pedantic and others aren't
