When are they due in the showrooms, especially estate? I phoned Skoda a couple of weeks back and "some time in Dec, don't know about the estate" was all they could say.

I haven't. I'm waiting until March '07 for a second hand un. Or a Honda S2000.

How much was all that and did you get a discount????

Will do. Bought it from Mitchells in Ellesmere Port - I know a few people who've bought from there and they are all happy - great place and friendly people.

Delivery date provisionaly mid feb - but got to get all the options confirmed for production - so could be sooner could be later - have to wait and see.

I would not have the delivery until march as you would get an immediate age depreciation on top of the Vat one surely?

i paid £18,250 with 18" wheels , met paint, sunroof and comfort pack

Skoda say they expect them to be in showrooms second half of December but with official launch 24 Jan, not sure of the difference.

I'm hoping the interior looks whole lot better than it does in the pics before I order. If those seats really look as if they've been inspired by cheap trainers as they seem would find them hard to live with. Bit disappointed that all-leather seats aren't an option.

Mine was zero discount, it's a lease car from ALD at £439 per month on a 75000 mile full maintenance 36 month contract.

th golf was cheaper

before discount?

No the Golfs nearly

arg, does that include insurance/tax etc?

It includes all servicing, tyres, tax and first MOT, but my company provides the insurance. Plus any damage above fair wear n tear has to be paid for.

I ordered mine back in october and it's being built this week:thumbup: . Probably won't get it delivered until around new-year though.

Seems like we swedes get the car earlier and a little cheaper then you guys:) . Most things are standard here, except the black magic paint, rear window wiper, cruise, sunroof, xenon, rainsensor, audience & sound system, tow-bar and a few other irellevant things (since I didn't order them:D ) like sat-nav, 18" wheels and park-assist.

The wait is unbearable:eek:

Anyone fancy the perfect reg for their Turbo'd 200BHP VRS?

T 200 VRS

Drop me a line if so - open to serious offers:)

I agree it's a lot of money -- but it would cost a great deal more to get a Golf or A3 I must admit I am a little concerned how reliable the car will be, not because I think it will be poor(I would not buy one if I did) but because the last one I had was absolutely perfect

Mine wasn't too bad either.... after I exceeded my goodwill limit :D

The 2.0T engine has been around for a bit now, and so far has proved to be fine - we've had no problems - VW had to do a small recall for cambelt issues when the GTI was first launched but nothing since,

All other main components are from VW or Audi and have been in use - so should be straightforward.

just thought i would let you know that i work at the local skoda dealer in grimsby and the first mark 2 vrs got delivered at 2.30 from the dockside, pdi`d and customers were test driving it by 4.30 . ( metalic black 18` wheels and twin climate)

I'm lead to believe that all dealers launch cars are either silver or black and come with 18's and dual climate.

Hopefully now cars are starting to come into the country - Skoda will pull their finger out and get the brochures out to the dealers as well.
