Code p0600

Featured Replies

I've got some lights on the dash that under investigation say there's a problem with the abs Ecu. I've checked the fuse for the abs and it's fine, does anyone have any other places to check for broken/faulty stuff?

Thanks in advance

Which fuse did you check, the one in the cabin fusebox, or one/both of the ones in the battery-top fusebox? (Handy reference thread here).

Just the one in the cabin fuse box, didn't realise there was another in the battery box. I'll check that in a bit. Thanks wino. [emoji106]

All fuses seem in tact. Does anyone have any other ideas on what to check?

Thanks

Can't find P0600 listed. What is the fault code description? Without that you are fumbling around in the dark.

This is what my reader showed. Hope this helps.

Looks like maybe your code reader doesn't work with the vehicle.

I said it found 1 code, when I went in to look at the code, this is what it shows. On the web it says abs/traction fault. I'm just not sure where to start looking. I'm thinking at the abs sensors maybe?

A CAN fault is on the diagnostic system. You really need VCDS to look at the CAN network and see if gateway can see the ABS ECU, I'm suspecting not. If you have lost all CAN comms withe the ABS ECU I'd check the wiring loom under the battery for water ingress and corrosion.

I've finally sussed it. Abs sensor was knackered. Just put new one in and all back to normal. Sensor snapped while taking out tho which wasn't ideal.
