I am picking up my nice shiny new black Octy vRS later today - Can't wait!!

Does anyone have any tips on what to check for before accepting the car?

I know I will just want to jump in and drive away but I need to be sensible!!

Wow Got it at last!!!!

Where do I start...

The car is brilliant and I only found a few little snags upon inspection.

There is a few little small dents on one side of the front spoiler, A piece of interior trim missing from the boot and some light scratches by the drivers door handle. Which the dealer will obviously put right.

I can't believe you get so much car for 15K!

I wanted parking sensors and cruise but only managed to get the parking sensors which are mounted in the bottom bumper moulding. I am going to retrofit cruise very soon.

The car drives very nicely and it will take some getting use to a petrol car again after running a diesel passat TDI 115 S for a year. However all the switchgear/climatronic is very familiar to me and the trip computer does more things than the Passat!

If there is anything I am slightly dissapointed with it is the audio system. It is OK but doesn't sound even as nice as the standard fit in the Passat. But these are very minor grumbles

Other things I've noticed include Continental Tyres (I was expecting Dunlops) and I didn't realise you got interior mats, full size alloy spare and locking wheel nuts!!

So all in all I am absolutely delighted!!!

Honestly Des, I'm so happy with the RS it's untrue. Just fits the bill for all my needs perfectly at the moment.
