High mileage green line superb estate

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is a 132000 mileage greenline elegance

Worth a punt at £7000,its a 2012 with fsh

Thanks.

I would be checking the service history and seeing if its had a clutch and flywheel replaced because if you plan on keeping it its quite an expensive-ish job. 132k would be quite a lot for an original clutch but they have known to last longer depending on how its been driven

44,000 miles per year, that is impressive mileage.

The FSH history therefore has to be variable (longlife) which will have been prompted by mileage rather than time. So it should have had 6 or 7 services.

It will also be close to needing a cambelt, make sure this is figured into the deal.

The car and engine if driven with mechanical sympathy should be good for well over 200,000 miles.

Check the usual issues, DPF, EGR, turbo, DMF etc.

Who was the previous owner, company / fleet car, not a taxi I assume?

My 15 plate 1.6tdi is on 29,000 after 9 months and yes its a taxi and yes its had an oil+filter change at 15,000 and will have all filters and oil at 30,000

its owner driven (no jockey's) so rarely gets pushed hard cos i love 60mpg....

it will have oil+filters again at 45k, 60k, 75k and a cambelt 90k with the oil+filters

look after your brush rodney and your brush will look after you

Reading this makes me pleased that I have just bought one on these as my first Skoda  Feb 2015 with 4000 on the clock. All the knobs & whistles. Thanks for the reassurance.  Jim

There are wide variations in what use a "taxi" gets, from the company owned pool car "any driver" vehicle working 24/7 365 days a year round the town to the owner drivers long job car, looked after like a baby...

I've just bought a Greenline Estate Elegance, 104k full dealer history and printout to back it up. Also called SUK to verify it.

Separate print out with all other work, tyres, bulbs, etc

Was last serviced 3k ago and I just stuck a TPS cambelt kit including water pump on yesterday.

Unfortunately no sign of any major work done so that's gonna be on me...... Mines is also a taxi and it'll get an easy life.
