Almost wish my clutch would fail!

Featured Replies

11 years old, 104,000 miles, and this clutch....along with most of the original equipment......just goes on performing its duty.

I put a Dragon tuning box on it back in 2007 when i bought it on 38,000 miles, and on a hot day in France, the clutch started slipping, so I took it off at the roadside, fully expecting the clutch to fail completely within a few weeks or months.

It didn't, and it hasn't, so I've got a tuning box sitting in the garage virtually unused and collecting cobwebs.

Seems a bit drastic....and expensive....  to change the clutch just to be able to use a tuning box though don't you think?

Might be quite harsh the power box, im sure a custom remap would have been more than fine. You can get them custom setup for a nice smooth power curve.

However if you wish the clutch the fail, may i suggest some 2nd gear launches from the trafic lights fast and furious style, should kill it off soon enough! :P
