Wasn't sure if it was a 600 or 900, that thing must fly! My mate's got a Gixxer 1000 and a V-strom thou and they're both wild - the gixxer moreso! 600 would be plenty for me, i'd like an R6 after a bit of experience.

I've done a couple of bits to the SE - Shark Remap came with it, Octavia brakes all round, black grille, short aerial, some interior bits and 17" spiders. I fancy some coilovers next.

Is it easy to use / learn how to work it properly? I plan on staying with the VAG group, my next car will be a mk6 Golf GTD if i ever sell the Fabia so it would be used for a good while.

Is it easy? It's easy to follow other people's instructions. Doing things yourself isn't actually all that intuitive.

I actually had two hours training with Ben Wardle at Shark Performance and that helped enormously. He talked me through all the options and then we turned on various things then turned some of them back off again. We did some data logging and fault finding. It wasn't stupidly expensive either.

"short aerial"

Just wondering how you went about taking the original aerial out, did you have to take the headlining out to unscrew it?

AFAIA, Same base just a trimmed polo stubby aerial.

I have a bee sting aerial to fit, the thread looks the same, trouble is I can't take out the original aerial due to its anti theft mechanism. Only other way I can think to remove it is by going from underneath, i.e taking down the headlining.

The original aerial just unscrews from the base and a polo aerial screws in it's place. You only need to pull the headlining down if you're removing the aerial base.

If you need to take the aerial down and out you'll manage it no bother, it's actually very simple.

I assume your car is an 07, the se in the picture?

I must be doing some wrong, my aerial does not screw out, it will screw 'halfway' so that it can be laid flat with the roof, I assume for a car wash, however it will not screw out. I could stand there all day unscrewing it, I have tried twisting with a constant pull, twisting with a constant push into the base, a firm yank, a very firm yank, so much so that the roof panel was flexing. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, 07 SE. Mine's just unscrewed and came out with a gentle pull, not yanking required.

Seems strange that your's won't budge... It beats me, sorry!

Mine was stubborn on the Ibiza. Gave up first attempt, 2nd attempt and with a little wiggle it was straight out in seconds, weird.
