SuperSkoda LED "dome" lights

Featured Replies

Thanks for the link to the video - will make it a lot easier when I get round to doing mine !

Has anyone fitter the LED rear seat interior courtesy lights from SuperSkoda?

I bought a pair when they had their 20% off deal earlier in the month and they are fantastically bright, but I cant get 'em to clip into the housing in the headlining.

The spring clip is a completely different shape to the original Skoda lamps, so the new ones don't click into place.

I've emailed SuperSkoda with photos & details, and they tell me that they are all like that & they fit ok in their own Yeti.

Am I doing something wrong?

Same here!

I wrestled with my replacement Superskoda (on the -20% deal) LED lights for a while, but could not persuade them to clip in (and stay put).

I eventually resorted to a dab of superglue on the spring. This has held for several months, but one has now failed and removing it may prove interesting!

  • 6 months later...

The switch mechanism has now failed in both units.

The light output was a great improvement, but the units are a poor fit (I needed a spot of superglue to keep them in - see above) and the switch mechanism is considerably poorer than OEM.

I eventually re-fitted the original units, but replaced the bulbs with LED - best of both worlds!

I did contact Superskoda (who dispatched a replacement), but issues with fitting led me to go back to the OEM units.

I've just swapped mine for the SuperSkoda units from my old car.

I think I've discovered the issue with removing the OE units.

I was struggling to push the spring clip in far enough and accidentally switched the light to permanent on, or off, can't remember.

Whichever it is, this moves the actual light plastics out of the way so you can push the spring clip in further.

The unit then just slides out no problem.
