Car Polishing

Featured Replies

Gonna be giving the car it's first coat of polish this weekend. Would anyone here reccomend polishing the wheels too? Does it make keeping them clean easier?

Gonna stick with the Autoglym for now as I still haven't got a reply from our resident Swissol dealer. Hope I hear from him soon as I need to get some of this stuff after hearing all the reccomendations! :D

Definatly. The brake dust just blasts off with a good hosing. I'm using Turtle Wax "EXTREME" wheel wax and it's pretty good so-far. Has to be re-done every couple of washes. Here's hoping for some nice dry waxing weather for the weekend.

:D

Multiclean (from Mark Underwood) is pretty good at getting brake dust off, as long as you have a pressure washer. I haven't tried waxing the wheels yet with the Swissol, so I don't know if it makes a difference.

Stuart (Stuart_J), I seem to recall you saying that you were keeping some Onyx wax for wheels - does it work well???

Cheers,

Howard,

I use multi-clean on my wheels are then use a wheel brush to agitate is all. Then just use hose to wash off.

Works really well.

Cheers.

Adrian.

I use a good coat of Swissol Onyx wax after some AutoGlym wheel cleaner and would recommend that method to anyone.Keeps the wheels looking great for ages and any dirt/dust just falls off when you wash them again.

Cheers

Get the cheapest Karcher. It lasts forever, and when it finally goes, you can still get spare parts for it.

Fab16v, if you havent heard from Mark & its been a little while give him a call on the Mobile .

re waxing wheels yep I give mine a couple of coats of "swissol" & they seem easy to clean
