Mail on Sunday magazine, Chris Evans has at last tested a Vrs, and its the 230 hatch in manual. Seems to like it, 4 out of 5 stars. Not many Vrs petrol mag reports done since the mk3 launch.

I'm not a fan of Chris Evans, but on a petrolhead front he is actually really in to cars. Don't get me wrong he's no replacement for the old Top Gear team (I'm guessing that's where its coming from), but he does know his stuff.

 

Anyway back to the review, sounds like it's got a good result there.

Chris Evans reports on paper are very entertaining and informative.If he doesn't like a car he says so in sometimes witty sarcastic ways, even though the manufacture has supplied it.

Time will tell how he performs on TV. Give him a chance.

Main point is he likes the Octy. If he didn't he would have said so.

Agree with others, Evans tells it as it is! He's hammered different brands before like Mercedes & BMW. He reviewed the Octy 3 when it first came out in 2013 and had a pop at the size of the exterior door handles, too big, reminded him of an American type of car. Yes he is a bit of a sensationalist, but he knows his cars. I have just done 230 miles in a VRS 230 Estate and his review is pretty spot on!
