can I put leather seats in my superb

Featured Replies

I have the superb 1.6d it has manually adjustable cloth seats, are the leather ones fitted to any of the Mk2 models that aren't electric? I'm hoping to purchase and upgrade

Thanks (new skoda owner)

Welcome,

I’m pretty sure all the leather ones are electric, it’s easy enough to get a 12V feed to power them (take it from above the throttle pedal)

Not all the leather ones are electric. Some of the special editions had leather but manual adjustment. Although all elegance are electrically adjustable.

Loads of audis have manual leather seats and they may be interchangeable?

Also would leather seats from an Octy fit??

Looking myself, just 2 fronts, hard to find and not cheap, its the airbags that worry me, are they all the same in the respect of airbags?

Pretty sure runners are the same between octy and superb but like litchfield said airbags may not be.

Was just thinking it may be another alternative as well as looking in Audi/VW/Seat models.

As long as the runner holes are the same it will fit, airbag plugs be cut and re-solder, just avoid electric adjustment if you want keep things simple.

Just to confirm you can get leather seats that are manually adjustable.

the ones in my SE business are heated but manually adjusted

I hadnt realised some leather seats were only electrically adjustable, today i spoke to Elap who make swivel seats, no airbags in them but they get round it by fitting a resistor and plug to fool the car....
