Maxidot stuck

Featured Replies

The Maxidot display in my SE L Executive has suddenly stuck on connecting to the phone and refuses to display the normal menu items, such as speed, mpg etc.  I have read the manual and pressed the appropriate buttons to no avail.  It will display navigation settings if navigation is set in the main menu but reverts to the phone when exiting navigation. Does anyone have a solution to this problem or is a dealer visit required?

Just an idea but my stereo gets stuck when connecting my phone regularly which also freezes the Maxidot (if it's showing stereo at the time) I soft reset the stereo by pressing and holding the power button for around 10 seconds, it reboots and everything starts working again. I guess it depends where the feed is coming from.

Failing that, disconnect the battery for a while?...

Thank you Bugginbob. I'll try soft resetting the stereo.

Pull out the fuse that supplies power to the maxidot. Wait 5 seconds then reinsert fuse. This should reboot the display.

This happened to my sister's Superb 2 & it was the bluetooth module (located under the drivers seat) unplug for 30 seconds & it was sorted. Pulling out the fuse is probably the same thing.

This happened to me on my SII. Nothing I tried worked, woke up the next day and it was fine. Weird.

There is no seperate fuse for the MaxiDOT, and the bluetooth is now built into the infotainment - so no module under the seat.

Not fused separately maybe but it will be fused.

Yes. Just wanted to point out that he wont find a fuse saying 'MaxiDot' :)

Thanks for all your suggestions.

Popped into my Skoda dealer this morning and found that if you hold the back button on the steering wheel too long, the scroll wheel will not scroll through the maxidot menu, and will stick on phone. A delicate dab on the back button is required and then immediate scrolling will take you to the other items on the menu.

I was holding the back button too long apparently, or did the problem just right itself? Any how, Maxidot now unstuck
