1.3mpi felicia over volting

Featured Replies

Hi guys

When the cars at tick over its putting out around 14v. When it's revved to 2k rpm it's putting out 19v

Does this mean a new alternator or would a dodgy regulator cause this?

Dodgy regulator, I think.

common fault on felicias. its the the voltage regulator going bad and overcharging the battery.

Very common, and sooner or later the engine ECU dies.

Any idea what the part number might be?

Happened to me. Took the genererator to generator shop. Was, for me, cheaper to replace the entire thing with an refurbished one. IIRC, the coal was easy DYI, but the regulator was more a part of the generator it self (Still dooable).
