  • For me its the simple joy of not being kicked in the back by my 3 year old as I drive down the road, not because she isn't trying to (because I'm sure she is) but because she cant reach me any more.

  • I love the ACC. The KESSY is fine and I have it but I would prefer the system I had some years ago on a Renault Megane, walk up and the car unlocks, walk away and the car locks.

  • I love the smile this car gives me so often...and the 'Wow didn't expect that' from sceptics...

I have one query about the “REST” button beside the heater fan speed controller which currently doesn’t seem to be doing anything. There seems to be a little LED light built into it but it doesn’t switch on.

According to the manual (page 122) it is a “residual heat” function button which is suppose to do the following :

Residual heat function on/off - after switching off the Ignition, the remaining heat from the engine is used to continue heating the vehicle

interior for about 30 minutes

Has anyone got and/or used this feature?

Thanks.

Ooh not heard of / noticed that before...is it standard ?

Partly agree, as I´m very tall. The "kicking the seats" is not a problem, since both my girls has been / is raised with the fact, that the absolutely only thing your feet can touch when in the car, is the floor mats. End of story :)

Or just brolly (singular) for some

It came as a standard feature with the Style spec in Ireland. I've since used it .............. doesn't work until you turn off ignition, then simply press the button and it comes on. It seems to be effective .............. noticed some heat still in car after returning about an hour later. Haven't put it to the test yet to see how long it is on or how long you'd feel the difference for ................. but since it's in the car I'll use it regularly anyway.

For me, it was price - over £1000 was too much. I think it should be standard on the L&K models. I have one on my i40 and it's nice, but not worth spending an extra grand on.

My 0ld 2008 BMW one series had it, but the latest versions don't for some reason.....personally, I think its a great idea and glad my (eventual) Superb has it.
