Tyre recommendation

Recommended Posts

Hello

No doubt you have been asked this numerous times so here goes. I have a 110 bhp 02 Octavia with no modifications. I do normal boring driving in it. Unlikely to do more than 90mph on rare occasions. Please recommend a tyre. I have heard good things about etyres as a supplier/fitter. What are they like.

Well you can get Eastern European Tyres at very good prices from Tyre Centres that are closely connected to Michelin.

(Well Serbia. So between Central & Southern Europe.)

Pretty damn good in various types Summer & Winter.

I use them myself.

So ATS Euromaster for 'TIGAR'.

These are Tigar Winters which have been very good.

I also have a set of Tigar Syneris.  They perform well and stand up to poor road conditions.

National tyres are just selling Barum Bravuris 3 as Buy 1 get 1 free. I had the Bravuris 2 on my last car and they were a good choice.

Frustratingly, not in all sizes. I need 225/50R17 for my Scout, which don't come in the BOGOF deal; the 225/45 does though!

We all have our likes regarding tyres, there are lots of thoughts on this site. Look at the write up about the Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres, a few post's down.

What size of tyre are you looking for??

I am currently using Uniroyal RainSport3 on my C Class wagon

They are very soft and wear quite quickly but at the price you can gt them at is amazing

Going to change the 4 tyres that came with my Superb II  (Three-As 606)  Very cheap chinese to Unis

For comparison 225/40-18 for superb are £52.50 plus delivery from

What kind of tyres are you fitting to the Scout is it dedicated 4x4??

If not Unis for £68.50 each A pair delivered to your door are £144

I usually get them fitted for about a tenner a tyre at local tyre place

Ive had on P Zero Pirelli on Octavia Spiders on my fabia all around brand new, had them on for around 1000miles, spin is much less and all round grip is very good. Excellent in the dry and good in the wet, no edge of seat moments so far and i am surprised at how good they seem to be wearing
