Multimedia head - lost connection with the car... Anything I can do?

Featured Replies

Hello All

This frosty morning one strange thing happened. The Multimedia unit (Columbus, I guess?) in my Octavia Ambition (brand new 2016) lost its connect to the car. What I observe:

  1. No car statistics - it says "turn ignition on"
  2. No phone connection - "turn ignition on to enable bluetooth"
  3. No display for rear parking sensors (the sensors work ok, according the the sounds the car makes)
  4. No control from the steering wheel (volume, tracks) - ignoring them completely.

When I returned back home, it is now saying something about "Component theft protection", which is even more exciting...

Is there any simple way to fix it? I booked the service already, but may be there is something easy...

Thank you for any hints. Quite frustrating...

Sounds like a dealer warranty job to me to be honest.

Sounds quite catastrophic :( glad you have a sense of humour about it though! Looks like a quiet drive to the dealer mate....
