Brake bleeding

Featured Replies

Hi, whats everyone's views on brake bleeding systems, I have read not to do it the usual way, pumping the brake pedal while someone else loosen/tightens the bleed nipple.. Been looking at the Ezzibleed system but have read that it's not guaranteed to work, Needing to get the pressure correct, bits not fitting properly etc...Also seen a hand held pump type but don't what is best and easy?

I have the Ezzibleed, changed the rear calliper at the weekend. No problems with it, did a dry run to test 1st. Was a bit scary I kept checking to make sure there were no leaks from the master cylinder  !! It bled the brakes really well.

The other type i've seen is the Sealey Vacuum Tester and Brake Bleeding Kit, Dunno which is best..

Ezibleed all the way for me, worked fine when i upgraded my front calipers.

+1 here for the ezzibleed system.

Been around for years.

I have both the vacuum and Eezibleed. I always get better results with the Eezibleed but ensure you follow the pressure settings and you've got the right cap for the reservoir.

I use one of these. Makes bleeding brakes an absolute piece of wee. :-)

I use a Ezibleed on mine, ive used it to change the brake fluid & again to bleed the brakes when ive replaced the calipers & it worked fine on all 3 occasions.
