I've been to see my car to day on 16 plate picking it up on 1st just wondered if any one doing the same    

Mine arrived at the port last Thursday night, so should be with the dealer early this week but I am told it won't be ready for the 1st.

Yep. Went to see it last week when it was still covered in protective wrapping. I'm booked in to collect it at 12:30 on March 1st.

Looks like mine will be the last of the 65s, collecting on Friday.  I'm slightly disappointed to miss out on the 16 plate but it will be nice to have the car this weekend when I have a long trip planned and it's a lease car so no resale value impact for me.

D402 - It's looking like I may be in the same boat. Leased car too so I wasn't too miffed, but I ordered on 7 September, and they've taken exactly twice as long as their "worse case" scenario to get the car. The more I think about it the more annoyed I get. This is muy first ever brand new car, so 4 days of new plate is a bit disappointing.

 

Can't decide whether to make an issue of it or not. Could also really do with the car by the weekend...

Unfortunately you've answered the question yourself, if you want it for the weekend then it will have to be a 65 plate I'm afraid.

I do understand your frustration though as it sounds like your buying experience has been rubbish to say the least.

Thanks Prykey - I think you're right. I'm leaning towards just getting my hands on the car asap. To be honest, I'm still worried that something else will go wrong.
