BMW giving a gesture on the new unit and still the labour to pay has it costing just the same as some knock off one would have cost.

so the new unit will be getting fitted.

Are BMW's not reliable these days?:crying:

  • Oh well bought it.   I planted my foot and left part of my brain behind I think.   Ok the car. Clearly brutally fast. 309hp 313hp isn't going to hang around. Deffo faster than the 330d but I think

  • 6 cylinder or nothing   A very strong section of my brain is shouting **** it, get the 335d.

  • I see George round the town quite often

Like any cars they have failures, but with BMW the company /dealers like to make you feel special by charging double plus vat on  doing repairs and the parts compared to having it done by a competent person with all the gear and knowledge but no nice suit or demonstrator to flounce about in.

I've had no real problems with mine in two years but if anything does go wrong it's bloody expensive.

And you get no more goodwill than a budget brand would give you.

I don't think the labour rates are particularly bad but the parts are.

No problems with the current or previous BMW's and service costs have been cheaper than the Skoda Octavia too

The future Aspman?

'About 40 mpg'. So can it get 40 mpg or more driving around towns using petrol?  What is the average MPG & the Range you get from a tank full of petrol and starting with a full charge?

The Chancellor in the UK and so HMRC and the Minister for the Environment are not going to be fooled by Plug in Hybrids because they might be driven through towns and cities without using petrol.

The actual MPG of them when there is no juice left in the power pack tells the real tale about the C02.

There are Plug In Hybrids sitting plugged in at chargers for hours just really to get the free parking.

I see ones regularly locally that are only driven a few miles from peoples homes where they have chargers and then get plugged in while they are at work just so they have a parking place even though the car might need to be charging.

Cables stored underneath is pointless if you need your boot space and want or need to charge with the full boot.

Cables that store in the lift up hatch are 'simply clever' then you do not need to move your stuff in the boot to put away cables.

Waterproof bags are needed, & drying wet cables, because putting away wet cables in a boot can then mean that H20 freezing, & thawing & freezing, that is a pita.

That can give you steamy windows.  (#Tina Turner)

AWD.
