This has probably been asked countless times but I am unable to find anything relating to the mk2 just mk1, does anyone know where I can get hold of a strap that will fit the Monte Carlo tsi?

Like the touring cars have, a piece of coloured Nylon saying 'tow'? If so it certainly available as I've seen one on a members car.

TRS\ Luke etc all do them, attaching to towing eye you may want to get part of an old towing eye and chop a piece off leaving only threads, drill and tap centre then bolt strap to that

You can buy bolts especially for the job, you just need to know the thread size and the length you want, I've got a link I'll find it for you.

Not a bad idea toxic but if I can get one where I don't need to modify a standard eye it would be more beneficial, I guess so Jones but more the track day ones

Those bolts won't work, it's an anti clockwise thread and it's unusually coarse. Best bet is to use an old towing eye and cut off the end.
